TPC 360º Protocol “Safe and healthy experience”

Soon we will be able to enjoy magical and unique places again such as this, but first we must adapt to the new normality and think about the most important aspect: safety. Just like the iconic Trafalgar Lighthouse stands proundly in the vecinity of our hotel and guides and protects sailors to safety, we have adopted a firm commitment to guarantee your safety and wellbeing, as well as that of our employees and staff.

Below we will highlight the measures we are incorporating in each area:

  • A safety comittee will be established, composed of the hotel management and the head of each area, who will be in charge of implementing the established strategy and supervising the measures implemented within their area.
  • All hotel staff will receive specific training regarding hygene rules for health risk prevention against covid-19, the use of PPE and the measures adopted in each area, with a particular focus on their particular position and role. In the same way, the management and security comittee will undertake regular evaluations to ensure these measures are being followed correctly. 
  • Entry and exit will be done in shifts.
  • In the same way there will be shifts for mealtimes and the safety distance between people will be observed.
  • Temperatures will be taken at the start and end of each work day.
  • On arrival, staff will deposit their personal ítems in a sealed bag and they will be placed in an area separate from the rest.
  • PPE will be provided (face masks, gloves and hand sanitizer), which will be compulsory during service hours.
  • As a reminder, the hygene and prevention rules will be displayed within each work area. 
  • All work areas will have face masks, hand sanitizer and gloves available.
  • Specific protocol will be followed for the cleaning and disinfection of staff uniforms.
  • Each employee will be in charge of disinfecting their workspace, utensils and personal objects, frequently and at the start and end of their shift or work day.
  • The staff in general will ensure the prevention rules are observed by all clients.
  • In the same way, staff will inform management in the event of posible contagion cases, in order to adopt the needed safety procedures.
  • Specific cleaning and disinfection protocol will be applied in reception against covid-19, increasing the frequency in the places or elements that pose a higher threat. For this purpose virus eliminating products of proven efficiency will be used.
  • Pre-check in/out via telephone or email, in order tos peed up the process and reduce contact among people to a mínimum.
  • During the reservation confirmation process, guests will be informed of the measurres and rules adopted on the premises, so they can be followed adequately.
  • Room assignation will be on demand, following client request and availability.
  • Check in will be postponed to 15:00hrs and check out will be brought forward to 11:00hrs, to provide enough time for the new room cleaning and disinfecting procedures.
  • Reception capacity will be reduced to one person at a time.
  • The reception counter will have a safety screen.
  • A distance marker will be placed in reception.
  • Suitcases and other client belongings will be disinfected on arrival.
  • Temperatures will be taken on arrival.
  • A protection kit will be provided on arrival including face mask, gloves and hand sanitizer.
  • Clients will receive a recommended itinerary to move about the premises, in order to avoid unecessary encounters or clusters of clients.
  • Depending on occupancy, we will try to maintain a mínimum separation between occupied rooms.
  • According to availability, all vacating rooms will be left unoccupied for a mínimum of 48h.
  • During the stay, communication via telephone or email with clients will be encouraged (i.e. information about club services, information about destination, etc.).
  • In the event of hospitalisation or the death of a family member (first and second degree), early departures will not incurr in any cost or penilisation. 
  • Clients who have sufferend a delay in their departure flight,will be able to stay in the room without additional cost, as long as occupancy and availability allow for it. 
  • On the day of departure, the keys will be left in a designated container in reception to be disinfected. 
  • Where posible, payments in cash will be avoided.
  • The POS will be disinfected after each use.
  • By default, all bills and receipts will be sent via email to the address provided by the client on arrival.

  • Except for exceptional circumstances, cleaning and maintenance staff will only access rooms once clients have left.
  • Clients will have the option to increase or decrease the frequency with which rooms are cleaned.
  • Dirty linen will be placed in bags before placing it on the cart. Smooth linen will be separate from terry towelling.
  • Clean linen will be placed in the room once the process is finished, to avoid cross contamination.
  • Bins in the room will have a lid, doble bag and pedal.
  • All unnecessary information and decoration will be removed from rooms.
  • The TV remote will have a protective covering and will be changed after every departure.
  • Additional pillows will be removed from the rooms. They will be available on demand to clients who request them.
  • Clients will be able to make use of our laundry service. In the same way as the dirty linen, it will be placed in separate bags.

  • Arrivals after 00:00h a.m. will be provided with a cold dinner in their room, if they have previously requested dinner service.
  • In the restaurant dining room and  terrace, mínimum safety distance will be maintained (2metres).
  • There will be a booking system to make reservations in advance.
  • Capacity will be limited and turns will be established if necessary.
  • Dining in areas such as the terrace, gardens or other outdoor areas will be encouraged.
  • There will be room service options available for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  • In the same way, there will be a ‘shopping cart’ option, with room delivery.
  • Waiting and permanence times in the restaurant will be limited where posible, with options sent and orders placed in advance.
  • All our purchases will be made with local suppliers.
  • In the same way, we will include local products in the dishes we create.
  • Table cloths and other textiles will be avoided. 
  • In the same way, we will remove any shared elements and decoration objects from tables.
  • Single use napkins will be used.
  • We will favor hot dished, cooked at high temperaturas.
  • Cleaning and disinfection of cutlery and tableware in general at  > 60º.
  • Single use drinks and food menus will be used and when not available will be provided via telephone or email.
  • In the event of early departure (before 08:00 am), a picnic option will be offered.
  • When the relevant authority authorize events, the area for events will be designated.
  • Maximum capacity allowed will be monitored and the safety measures between people on arrival, during breaks, during the catering service and at the end of the event.
  • Specific cleaning and disinfection protocol will be applied in preparation areas, horse training areas, activities, etc. against covid-19, increasing the frequency in the places or elements that pose a higher threat. For this purpose virus eliminating products of proven efficiency will be used.
  • Only available with prior reservation.
  • Training will take place in turns.
  • Depending on unfolding events and according to current rulings, a máximum of 10 players will be allowed per session, maintaning safety distance and not sharing equipment nor horses.
  • Only horses, grooms and technical auxilaries of players on the field will be at the tethering posts, maintaining safety distance and without sharing equipment.
  • New players and  new groups of horses will not join in until the previous ones have left the tethering posts.
  • Following the development of the situation, training sessions, games and tournaments will take place following the oficial rulings with limited phisical contact and capacity, máximum of a third of capacity, guaranteeing safety distance between spectators and without use of changing rooms. Spectators will be limited to 1 person per 20m2.

  • In the same way, maintenance staff will provide the correct management of facilities and equipment.
  • Frequent ventilation of all common areas will take place in areas to be occupied by clients.
  • All common areas will have hand sanitizer dispensers and gloves.
  • Common loos will be cleaned at least 6 times a day.
  • Common loos will have hand sanitizer dispensers, single use hand drying towels and bins with doublé bags, lids and pedal.
  • The rules and higiene regulations will be available on posters in the common areas.
  • All content from bins will be transported in closed bags to a separate space, only accesible by staff.

  • Suppliers will be informed in writting of the security procedures that affect them directly, and they will be provided with the prevention means necessary at all times.
  • There will be a designated godos reception area, separate from tother areas, where only suppliers will be able to access.
  • We will provide hand sanitizer for suppliers to allow disinfection befroe and after delivery.
  • In the same delivery area, packaging which has had contact with the outside will be removed and godos disinfected, before being moved to storage or production.
